Movement Art Jiu-Jitsu is a collaboration between Daniel Maira and Nicholas Salles to provide high-quality instruction to the community. Our objective is to make the process of learning Jiu-Jitsu fun and easy for all levels. Whether you’re a hobbyist or competitor, we’re dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, big or small.
At Movement Art, we promote a deep understanding of Jiu-Jitsu and genuinely believe that technique, when applied properly, supersedes athleticism and size. Our curriculum is designed to impart conceptual knowledge to our students so that they can succeed regardless of their fitness background or sports experience.
Meet the Owners
Head Instructor
Daniel is a Black Belt under multiple-time world champion Mikey Musumeci. After going overseas on trial to play soccer professionally, he dropped everything to train and teach Jiu-Jitsu full time. In doing so, he travels the world, training and competing at the highest levels, to chase his dream of becoming a black belt world champion. He’s passionate about always improving himself and helping the people around him achieve their goals.

Nick is a Black Belt under multiple-time world champion Mikey Musumeci. Nick went on to pursue a career in Jiu-Jitsu after graduating with a BS in Biology from Monmouth University. Nick enjoys competing and striving to be the best version of himself that he can possibly be. In the process, he’s committed to becoming a Black Belt World Champion and helping those around him in achieving their goals.
